Okay, so lets talk
about Rocket League, a fast paced sport you play a lot right now in your
Facebook or Twitter feeds. How did you get into Rocket League? Did you just
play it for fun, but later on started to play more serious. Just recently
started to play more competitively and have been improving on boards and aerials
a lot as well.
What is so great about
playing Rocket League? For one, it's a brand new game that has a ton of updated
content. There are a ton of updates that happen in-between each season, and
players can tell when there are new improvements by looking at the Season
change logs. For example, last year there were several major updates that
occurred throughout the year. This year, the update list is much smaller, and
it only deals with two or three new items.
I feel like the most
important aspect of Rocket League is its Special Teams. If you're not familiar
with how Special Teams work in the game, it's important to read about them.
These teams play a critical role in the game by controlling certain aspects of
the game. For example, if your team is on the wrong side when starting an
attack on the opponents' goal, you can call your head coach (yes, it's that
simple) and request that he send in a Substitute. After that, your coach will
send in players from his bench who will play defense and protect the goal you
created with your Special Teams.
What's so cool about
this aspect of the game? First, your competitive play is going to be higher
because you will be forced to play against skilled opponents. Second, you'll get
a good night's sleep because you won't have to play a lot of games. Most
importantly, though, you'll enjoy the competitive play because you will be
playing against people whom you respect and admire. And, best of all, you'll be
able to win a few.
To be honest, I love
competitive play because it makes me feel good, especially if I'm having fun.
Plus, as a competitive player, I know that my teammates play a critical role in
winning the game, and that I can count on them for help when I need it. Last,
I'm happy to see that the Rocket League head coach has included more details
that will help the players. For example, he's introduced a "Point
Match" feature that gives players a real life experience of earning and
losing points in a competitive game.
Hopefully, you feel
like these new features mean that you can play a lot right now without feeling
too competitive. It's just nice to live in a day and age when we can enjoy
something for ourselves without feeling obligated to do it. You can find more
details about how you can start playing more seriously with a day in the future
by following the links below. Good luck! Enjoy!
